Keep the copier on the office side of the wall, away from production dust. Dust settles on the scanner glass and in the paper path, and a clean office corner keeps a machine running better.

South east: what businesses ask

Our office is on a mezzanine above the factory floor. Can you get a copier up there?

In most cases, yes. Measure the stairs, note any turn at the landing, and enough people and the gear to match arrive on the day.

Can a copier sit near the production floor?

It can, but it lasts better on the office side. Dust works its way into the scanner and the paper path, so a clean corner is worth finding.

We print A3 drawings for the workshop. Do we need colour?

Not for the drawings. If colour matters elsewhere in the office, choose colour and set every computer to print black unless told otherwise. If it does not, ask about mono A3 machines in the secondhand range.
