CBD and inner city

Copiers for the Melbourne CBD and inner city

Inner city offices come in every shape: tower floors, laneway studios, converted warehouses. Each one gets its copier through the right door, installed and serviced, from the CBD out to St Kilda.

  • CBD, Southbank, Docklands
  • Richmond to St Kilda
  • Card release for private pages
  • Rent from $15 a week plus GST

Who prints what in the inner city

Head offices, law firms, accountants and financial advisers fill the CBD towers and the St Kilda Road office strip. Docklands adds corporate floors and media businesses; Southbank sets arts organisations beside office and apartment towers. Across Richmond, Cremorne, Collingwood and Abbotsford, design studios, agencies and tech teams work out of old factories and warehouses.

A legal or finance floor generally wants a fast A3 colour machine with card release, so nothing confidential waits in the tray. A ten person studio may be better served by a compact A3 colour copier or an A4 office printer. Several machines across a few floors? Managed print puts the lot on a single bill, paid by the page.

From tower floors to laneway studios, in through the right door.

Getting a copier into a CBD building

Most towers need two bookings: the loading dock and the goods lift, both usually through building management. Trams run along many CBD streets, so kerbside stops are scarce and the dock is normally the only way in. Send the building name and the delivery is booked to its rules and hours.

The inner suburbs bring other puzzles: a narrow terrace staircase in Fitzroy or Carlton, a shared freight lift in a mixed use block in South Yarra or Prahran, a roller door off a Collingwood laneway. Describe the access, and the right crew and equipment turn up.

Questions

CBD and inner city: your questions

Can a copier go into a CBD tower?

Yes. Name the building and the loading dock and goods lift are booked with building management, inside its delivery hours.

Our studio is up a flight of stairs in Fitzroy. Will a copier fit?

Usually. Give us the stair width and any tight turns. A compact A3 machine or an A4 multifunction printer suits many walk up offices, and the crew is sized for the stairs.

Several businesses share our floor. Can one copier serve all of them?

Yes. Each business gets its own department code or card, the machine counts every page against it, and you split the cost on those counts.
