The machines

Which ApeosPort is which? The C3070 belongs to the ApeosPort C3070 to C7070 range, which arrived in Australia in 2020, and prints 30 pages a minute. The C2560 comes from that year's smaller range (C2060, C2560 and C3060) and prints 25. Either one handles colour copying, printing and scanning on paper as large as A3.

In 2021 Fuji Xerox took the name FUJIFILM Business Innovation. Later machines from these ranges wear the Fujifilm badge and the Apeos name, the Apeos C3070 and Apeos C2560 among them. The photograph is Fujifilm's, and it shows the range under that newer badge.

Ask the page count before the year of make.

Which office it fits

Up to about ten people and a few thousand colour pages a month? The C2560 covers it. The C3070 is quicker and comes from the bigger range: a match for ten to twenty people, and worth pairing with a stapling finisher if you turn out reports and handouts.

Grades, payment and setup

On our list the ApeosPort C3070 or C2560 comes in three grades: renewed, refurbished or used. Every unit is checked, and its page count reaches you in writing before you choose. Pay outright, or take a rental or lease on a term of up to 60 months; the machine's age sets the longest term. Included in the price: delivery, network installation, scanning setup and a walk through for your staff.

Put it on a service agreement and our replacement warranty runs for the full term: a machine that fails is replaced. Rental is from $15 a week plus GST for selected machines, finance is subject to approval, and at the end of the term you can upgrade or hand it back.

Checks before you buy secondhand

  • Pages printed so far. The count comes to you in writing. It says more about wear than the year on the badge.
  • Options fitted. A finisher, more drawers or a high capacity tray change the work it can take on, and the figure you pay.
  • Service after the sale. Secondhand only pays off while someone keeps it running. We do not sell a machine we cannot service.
  • Cost per page. Get the mono and colour rates in writing, with what each one covers.

Replacement warranty

Machine fails? It gets replaced. Right to the end of the term.

Put any machine on our service agreement and the replacement warranty comes with it. New or secondhand, and whether you rent, lease, finance or buy outright, the rule is the same: should the machine fail, you get a replacement. The cover runs to the final day of the agreement, not the end of year one.

On a new copier the maker's own warranty is usually 12 months, on the hardware only; consumables sit outside it. Beyond that year, your cover is the service agreement. Your agreement sets out the full terms of the replacement warranty.

Questions

ApeosPort C3070 and C2560: your questions

Is the ApeosPort C3070 worth buying?

For ten to twenty people printing colour, it is a sound pick from a range designed for busy offices. On a secondhand unit, look hardest at the page count and the care it has had. You get both from us before you choose.

ApeosPort C2560 vs C3070: how do they differ?

Speed and family. At 25 pages a minute, the C2560 belongs to the smaller C2060 to C3060 range. At 30, the C3070 is part of the larger C3070 to C7070 range. Give us your monthly volume and we point you to the right one.

Which model followed the ApeosPort C3070?

The Apeos C3071 range, sold under the Fujifilm name in Australia from October 2024. That same month the Apeos C2061, C2561 and C3061 took over from the C2560's range.

Can a secondhand ApeosPort be rented?

Renewed and refurbished grades can, on terms of up to 60 months set by the machine's age. Used grade machines are normally bought outright. Rental is from $15 a week plus GST for selected machines.

Is an ApeosPort a Xerox?

In everyday speech, yes. Until 2021 every Xerox copier sold in Australia was a Fuji Xerox, and the ApeosPort was its main line. More on the Fuji Xerox and Fujifilm page.
