Who should choose it

It is sized for offices of up to about ten people whose printing is mostly A4. The maker's guide is up to 2,000 pages a month. Need more pace? Look at the ECOSYS MA4500fx: 45 pages a minute. For a lighter load, the ECOSYS MA3501wfx runs at 35.

Buying it new

New from our list, the ECOSYS MA4000wifx comes with the maker's warranty, and delivery, network installation, scanning setup and a walk through for your staff are part of the price.

Rental is the usual choice: a business agreement over three to five years, one regular payment, serviced throughout, and priced from $15 a week plus GST for selected machines, subject to approval. A lease or an outright purchase works too. On a service agreement, our replacement warranty covers the full term.

Replacement warranty

Machine fails? It gets replaced. Right to the end of the term.

Put any machine on our service agreement and the replacement warranty comes with it. New or secondhand, and whether you rent, lease, finance or buy outright, the rule is the same: should the machine fail, you get a replacement. The cover runs to the final day of the agreement, not the end of year one.

On a new copier the maker's own warranty is usually 12 months, on the hardware only; consumables sit outside it. Beyond that year, your cover is the service agreement. Your agreement sets out the full terms of the replacement warranty.
